Jenny Morris Launches Taste the World with Jenny Morris (Plus: Recipes)

Taste the World with Jenny MorrisVivien Horler attended the launch of Taste the World with Jenny Morris at Chuck Yang’s Chinese restaurant in Rondebosch, Cape Town.

Writing in the Cape Argus, Horler describes how Morris credits her late Italian father-in-law Tony Esposito for her love of international cuisine. “He taught me how to catch, kill and pluck pigeons, and instilled in me such a hunger and lust to taste the world,” Morris says. He taught her to cook from the age of 11 and she eventually married one of his sons.

Morris says that in her latest cookbook she has shared recipes from several countries, using the flavours of the place and giving them her own spin. Morris shared recipes for Uncle Tony’s Lemon and Caper Veal Steaks, Whole Baked Fish with New Potatoes, Uncle Tony’s Limoncello and also Chuck Yang’s Salt and Pepper Calamari that was served at the launch.

The great thing about Giggling Gourmet Jenny Morris is that in real life she’s just as bubbly and warm as she seems on the radio and TV.

She also really loves cooking.
